Inside Dome Lighting don't work

Hi, I'm somewhat new here and hope you can help me with a question that I need help on. I own a '88 European Specs 325i that I feel is in immaculate condition. The problem or lack of knowledge that I have is on the interior lighting. They turn on or off when you turn them on or off, but they don't come on when you open the doors. I've checked the wiring and just about what i could tkink to look at and am stumped right now. Any help would be appreciated.

I also have another question, do you also sell Angel Eyes for E30 models? Thanks.

There is a setting between the on and off (right in the middle) that lets them come on when the doors are open or at least thats how the lighting works on my car. Right now My lights don't work at all and I probably just need to clean up the contacts.

There are places that sell angel eyes for the e30 but IMO they don't look that great.

I have it set at the middle but the lights turn on when you set the switch up or down, but the contacts I haven't checked yet. Thanks.
