fog light problem HELP!
Ok so my driverside foglight went out a few weeks ago, I changed the bulbs around and found out it was a bulb that was out. The burnt bulb is on the passenger side now and the old working bulb is on the driver side. I replaced the burnt bulb with a new one and everything was working, then later last night the passenger side fog light (side that i put the new bulb in) went out again. I checked the bulb, the filament and everything looked fine on both bulbs so i checked to see if it was a fuse/relay issue. Fuse looked fine, even put in a new one just in case, and the relay looked fine (not sure how to check the relay for working order). I put up a volt meter to the brown/yellow wires leading up to the fog light housing to see if it was a wiring problem, both sides put up 12 volts consistantly. The green light in the dash turns on and everything, what is going on!??!?!
Sometimes when I press the fog light button, the green light flickers before turning on or doesn't turn on at all until I press it a few more times (this has always happened so i don't think it's the cause of any problems). Also, when I press the fog light button, there is a clicking sound coming out of the fuse box. Does this mean it could be a relay issue?
Everything seems to be working up to the housing, yet my fogs still won't turn on. And the housing seems fine because the bulb is in securely and everything is plugged in. Could it be a bad ground somewhere?
