Daytime Running Light install

Hey guys, now that im swapping my zkw's over to the m3, i want to wire up the drl lights. i wanted to back w/ the 328 but i didnt know how to do it correctly and i didnt want to mess up splicing. as the m3 sits now i cant drive it cuz there arent any headlights in it. so i was hoping that either habbie or someone whose wired these things could help me out.

there are 3 small wires that come out of the signal. what wire (color???) is it that goes into the turn signal when the lights are turned on that the turn signal lights up (the one i would be wiring the drl's to)...i still have the 2 gray wires that came w/ the zkws that i will plug into the back of the headlight and i would splice that w/ the wire i need.

this was a horribly structured post haha. thanks for the help, get back to me asap because i need to have the car going my tomorrow night. cya

If you have a test light just ground it and see what wire lights up wehn you turn the daylights on that's what I did

You know what, I'll just take some pics for you

Yeah, those are the "parking lights" I cut those off from the corners and wired them into the DDE's

you mean city lights? drl is totally different then city lights.
drl requires a canadien spec drl light module, city lights only require you splice into your grey wire from the turn signals(grey with purple stripe on one side, grey with yellow stripe on the other)
hope that helps.

If you just splice into them then you'll have the coners on at the saem time than your DDE's will be on... is that what you want?

yup ...every thing works well ya i meant "city lights" i guess. the previous owner had the side markers spliced to the gray wire so his sidemarkers would go on too...i dont really understand why he did that unless me made a mistake...pics should be up soon later
