97 540 Interior Lights
 

My Interior lights stay on when it is cold out, below 40, acts like door is open but it isn't. They also go off and on when driving and hit bump. Anyone else ever have issue? Thanks

no i do not have this issue. to me is sounds like your door switch maybe worn out.

Thanks. That was my first guess. Here is a stupid question......I have looked for the light switch in the door jamb area and could not see one on the driver door side, where is it located?

Sometimes it happens in BMW also. But don't worry all you have to do is check the forum and find the solution for that interior lights.

the switch if i recall off the top of my head is located in the front part of the door jam between where the door mounts to the car. Towards the top. It has been a while since I have looked for it but this where i think it is.
