it will take the easiest route with the less resistance. The plug and play connectors add resistance. The more resistance in a circuit the harder it is for electricity to pass through it. Now if you remove the resitance, you increase the amount of electricity than can pass through your circuit.
So, if this fix did not work for you, it doesn't mean that it doesn't. If your DDE's still have a cold start problem then you might want to either replace your ballast or purchase a high output one.
Downside to a high output ballast is that it reduces the life of your DDE's by pretty much half!

I crimped them toghether... then I electrical taped them (insulation)... I contacted umnitza and I got replacement ballasts coming... and I knew that disclaimer was coming

And by the way, Ouri, guy from Umnitza mentioned you when him and I talked, he said he's probably going to send you one of the cold package ballasts when he gets them I think.
(He said a guy from NJ, so I just assumed it was you)

BTW you guys have those Cold Weather Ballast that Rooz was talking about? Can I exchange the ones that you sent me? Or do I have to spend another $10 to get those?
