Newest angel eyes
The newest BMW's have much brighter OEM angel eyes, and I'm wondering what the difference is. Is it a different design altogether, or is it a brighter bulb? Just wondering whether I can somehow retrofit them into my E39 OEM's or use the new bulbs if that's all it is? anyone know?

I think it is a different bulb set up. I would opt for the the umnitza p39s. That way you can get the xenons, any kelvin and the brighter LED AEs.
That is whay I got for mine.

Ehh, I prefer the 3000k look, just brighter if possible. I know, weird. That's one of the reasons why I decided against the I.C.E. upgrade.

So what exactly is it that you want brighter? The halos, the highs, the lows? Do you have any pics for comparison?

The angel eye halos. If you look at the latest BMW's, they're much brighter.

the old design was a fiber optic set up, semi bright at night and invisible for all intents and purposes during the day.
the new design is actually a bulb an h8 LCi set up, much brighter and daytime visible but still retains the yellow shade, we are working on that system too as most prefer white angel eyes in tune with their hids.
the ICE is a great upgrade for all models prior to 08's, completely plug n play and almost as bright as our chromium angel eyes all in a high powered never before LED setup.
feel free to contact me should you have any questions or to order a set at special UB ONLY prices.
