Recount progressing in disputed Cherokee election
Tribal officials were expected to finish a second hand recount Sunday night in the disputed election for principal chief of the Cherokee Nation, one of the nation's largest American Indian tribes.The count lasted all day Saturday and resumed at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at the American Indian tribe's election commission headquarters in Tahlequah.
