Voter ID bill gets first look by NC House panel
The public will get a chance to speak about a House proposal requiring North Carolina voters to show a photo identification card to cast a ballot.The House Elections Committee scheduled four hours Tuesday afternoon to discuss a newly-filed voter ID measure. Forty-five people are signed up to speak. The committee chairman hopes to vote on the bill
