my 535i vrs. ????
So I was comig into the city the other day via whitemud drive. (thats our main (come on anthony henday) but pathetic freeway), at about 17street. And some kinda crotch rocket goes flying by me. I couldnt tell what it was due to his high rate of speed and my low knowledge of bikes. As soon as I get across 17 street, wich are the only lights on that freeway for at least 25km's I drop it into 3rd and do my best to catch him. Now for those of you who dont know what an m30 is good at, its picking up speed from 90kmh and up. so I quickly catch up to him at about 180kmh and he speeds up a little more, I keep it going and evetually come right beside him, now at this point I dont want to look at my speedo, cause Im right beside the guy, so I keep going till he gets scared and wont go any faster. I get about 10 cars in front of him and let off the accelerator completely and take a look down, I'm going just under 240kmh. Now at this point I had been decelerating for less than a second, so at my best estimation I hit between 240 and 245kmh. Not that my car is faster than whatever he was driving, but he was a little nervous to go any faster. But who could blame him? I was nervous and I have four wheels he only has two. And to him it probably felt like he was going at least the speed of sound.
And that is the fastest I have ever traveled on the ground.
thats ~ 150MPH FYI
and that is very impressive for your car.... and let me tell you, on a bike, when your going lets say, 70mph, theres so much wind you cant even hear the car next to you, i cant imagine 150

I read the story and i believe you can get to 150 as i did in my 535i but the revs wouldn't be so high. i was only at 6250 cause my rev limit is at 6500

Thanks.... but I didnt go out and plan it, trafic was completely non existant, and it was done completely on a whim. I didnt pass a single car, and if you saw the area I was driving in, your opinion of my mental capacity might change. I dont drive like that ever. Honestly. And I hope you droped by all the other threads in this forum and showed the same respect to all the other "retards".

sounds like fun.. yeah as long as theres not much traffic why not?!?!
Oh and CHRISWORRELL: I dont see what growing up and slowing down have to do with each other.
A few years ago when I was in Germany, this guy (OLDER) took my family and I to an airport and he was doing 120-145 on the highway pretty much the whole way in his 3. Nobody complained. Nobody freaked out.
Yah yah they dont have speed limits. So what. (That was not brought up in the first place..) There is nothing wrong with speeding as long as you know youre not endangering anyone else (traffic). Risk the ticket - sure, but thats your own decision. Shouldnt be speeding like a maniac all the time everywhere you go but you cant bum through life in the slow lane either.
PLUS its a BMW - USE IT. THAT IS WHAT THEY ARE DESIGNED TO DO!! DRIVE. AND DRIVE FAST
