A couple of months ago I had just finished working the day shift. I got about 1/4 of the way home then realized I forgot my phone at work so I turned around and sped up to around 80 to get back and get home ASAP. I get to this one intersection where there's about 3 cars in front of me... the first 2 keept going straight but the guy directly in front of me turns right. There was another car making a left out onto the highway... he saw the guy in front of me turning and didn't see me I guess so he decided to make his turn right in front of me. Instead of punching it, the idiot decided to slam his breaks putting him all the way across my lane and his nose partiailly in the next lane. I didn't even think I just reacted and swerved around him into the next lane (oncoming traffic) my car was at about a 65 degree angle as I was passing him... I somehow managed to miss the guardrail by inches, missed his car by inches... and avoided all the oncoming traffic that was headed directly towards me.
Might not sound too bad but it scared the living bajesus outta me and considering it was rush hour on a heavily traveled road, I was very thankful no one was hurt.
1. They weren't paying attention (ie. cell phone, talking to a passenger, daydreaming, whateva) and didn't realize how slow they were going.
OR more likely...
2. It's a control thing and they figure they were in front of you to begin with so that's their "rightful" place on the road.
9 times outta 10 it's the latter of the two.
I agree dude people a) just dont care and do whatever like talk on cllphones or b) are ignorant dumbasses that feel as if that their rightful place on the road lol
talking about almost wrecking . . a while back, maybe 2 or 3 months ago, I was driving to school in the early morning. School starts at
7 15 for us, and it takes me about 15 minutes to get there on the highway and about 10 minutes driving on backroads. I got out the house kinda late at 6:55 or so, so I decided to use the backroads to get there. it was a bit raining, not too hard just the usual piss rain drizzle type. I hit 70 in a 55mph road, there was no traffic ahead, just an empty country road. Im drivin like 70 and I slow down to 45 to get thru a S curve. im commin out the curve doin 45or so and I see a damn toyota one of thsoe '88 camrys with its four ways on just sitting there in the middle of the fucking road while its fucking raining
I started breaking like a mothe*fkr the damn camry is like 20 or 30 meters from the end of the curve thank God I saw the car when I was in the curve commin out. abs locked on all that shit cus im breakin hard not to hit this guy or swerve of the road into a ditch. I see some asswhole come out the car and be like "didnt you see the 4 ways", I pull up next to him, rolled down my window to let him know what I think of him, cussed the crap out of him, and flicked him off. dude made me angry if it wasnt for school im sure I would've stepped ou the car and trashtalked.
anyways, the dude was some white guy dressed in scrubs
im thinking he was a nurse?
here there's also a lot of swiss drivers around, since I live close to the border. In Switzerland, every mile above the limit costs you 10 dollars. So when the swiss are driving in Germany, they either stick straight to driving 5 km below the limit or they try to beat the sh*t out of their cars because they think the German traffic rules don't apply to them so they do like 110 in a 50 zone or so...
Swiss suck at driving, only bad thing is they have all the nice cars...
anyone ever been to Zurich airport? In the parking lots there's tons of Porsches, RS6, S8, 750i, M5s... you get the message...
damn swiss. I have cousins in bern.
my granpa is still in saarbrucken in saarland. still have an aunt there alot of family in germany.
oh yeah the swiss are big on money, they can afford 10 bucks for every km over the limit lol
lol I remember alot from my childhood, I grew up in germany didnt get out of the country till I was like 12 or so.
im from saarbrucken saarland by the french border close to Trier and Essen Essen, also lived in Regensburg in the country loved it there! we stil have a house there my uncle and his wife live there now. last time I visited was 2000. hoping to go next year, Euro 2008!!!!
the other night i was pulling onto a highway via a ramp, took it 65ish and punched it...luckly DSC was on, car oversteered even with DSC on but it took all teh power from the wheels and braked for me.
