K so i got my e36 (Auto) :cry 3 weeks ago and still really havent found out how she goes yet....Neways heres the stories.

I was doin some shoppin in town one day adn was sittin at a redlight and a silver tiburon pulls up beside me(looked like an older model) and i look over and the guy gives the lets go look. So the green light comes up and we both punch it...off the line he was ahead by a car length but when i hit the higher RPM i pulled past him pretty fast. For the first race ever i was so happy with myself!! lol

Now comes the humiliation.....

Just cruisin around on the highway that same night and feeling good about my undefeated record(1-0) LOL I started pulling up on this sweet lookin silver convertible and as i pull up i look over and see the unmistakeble fenders of a '02 M3.:jawdrop Just being awed looking at this beautiful car i had to give the guy a nod of admiration for such a nice ride. So i pull by him and all of a sudden he screams by me and i TRIEDto keep up......lol o well

haha very nice, Tiburon, what a joke, and i know, some moron is going to come and tell me OMG BE WARE OF TEH TIBURON GT.. stfu, tiburons suck.. nice kill man

same thing happened to me the other day with an E36 M3, i wasnt trying to go head to head (during rush hour traffic anyway) but he kept trying to pull away from me, but couldnt get to far coz of the traffic ;)

...I keep up with my friends not so tuned 740 with the 330. Atleast from a light.

One here in the uk, my work buddy had got himself an '03 vauxhall vectra 2ltr and during his first 2 weeks owning the car had raced and beaten just about every one of the guys at work until i got my
E36 318, yep she might be a tourer, but she can out accellerate that vectra, the look on his face as i shot past him was a delight to see and the following day at work he remarked about how quick my ride is,
funny he hasn't tried racing me since????:)

I had a blast yesterday playing wingman with a German 2004 M3 on the Autobahn to Mannheim. I guess he wasn't expecting me to stay close to him (about 2 car lenghts). When he got on his exit he threw me a :thumbup . That M3 sounded wicked.

Those Tib's are slightly overrated for me. A couple of people here where I live have them with the usual "fart can" on them and it's annoying:gun :gun

No way an e36 is going to keep up with an e46 M3. :uhoh

I own a E30. Look at the pic under my sig. When you're running with traffic over here most times cars wind up in small packs (3-4) and depending on the pace you can keep up with alot of things. I know alone and at full throttle he would walk away from me.:dunno and normally the 'Bahn speeds are around 115-125mph that my baby can do very smoothly:eyebrows

I don't deny your German engineered e30 and its smooth ride at 120mph. I thought nothing of them untill I raced one in my CamryCE. Lets just say that I got owned. :p

But let me tell you from my experience from driving 98% of everything BMW has under the sun. No stock e30 or stock e36 is capable of what a stock e46 M3 can do. That e46 M3 is going to be the pace car in your pack all day long. :D
