The best bang for the buck on those 3000gt's is swapping the driveshafts for carbon fiber ones. I was talking to the owner of a modded out vr4 and he said he took nearly 60lbs off the rotating mass. I guess that makes one AWD car that doesnt bog down on the freeway too much.

carbon fiber driveshafts take off a lot of rotating mass, they make them for e36's, but not sure about other BMW models, but 60 lbs wow. Someone showed a link on bimmer forums of the e36 cf ones and I think it was about half that.

E30 is more fun. IMO.
