my trip back to school and an M5 worth reading
Okay, so i'm sitting at a red light on old milton parkway waiting for the light to change on my trip back up to school and i hear this definitiely german rumble and i look next to me and see a 5 series driven by this geeky asian guy so i figure WTH its not like its an m5 or anything stop driving so hard. and i look back straight ahead until it clicks like three seconds later that HOLY SHIT! thats an M5!!!!!:jawdrop so of course i whip out the old cellie and start snappin pics. i 'm just behind him at the light to turn onto 400 and get a nice picture of this cars fine ass. now we get onto 400 and i'm expecting him to just floor it because hell, its an M5 we would all be in a high speed pursuit if we had that thing. but he doesn't. He does something more amazing. he just kinda cruises in the middle lane with nothing on but the angel eyes and i dare say, that was the sexiest sight i had ever seen. I kind of had this impression that he was just waiting for some douche in a modded car to pass him the wrong way because there's NOBODY on the road so why's he going the speed limit. so i stay in front of him just a hare where i can still hear his engine out the read window and no sooner do we pass the on ramp at mansell road does some riced out E36 M3 fly up his ass into the left lane and then cut him off. Until this point i had no idea that you can actually hear a difference in the sound of the engine when the M button is pressed. but all in one foul swoop this geeky driver flips on the hid's and the brights and even though the car didn't change speeds, i hear the graceful engine ROAR to life and then he just flat out floors it. and the sound of that thing flying past me was the sexiest sound i had ever heard. I tried my hardest to keep up. I failed at catching the M5, but it didn't take long for me to find the riced out M3 drivers ego limping in the left lane:yum :yum :yum

Neat. I see the pics just fine :)

I see the pics. Very nice. :D
It'd be even better, but remember I was at bimmerfest saturday, so there were quite a few e60 m5's there. :thumbup I've never seen one in Alpharetta though, very cool. haha Edit: Hum, this shouldn't go in the lounge though... mods, do you think it'd be better in the M5 section, general bmw, or kill stories? lol |
it was all so very funny because this m3 looked just like yours. except it had the tell tale ricer wing body kit that wasn't painted, shitty honda tuner esque rims and of all things YELLOW racing strip down the driver side of the car. and of course the mandatory shit can hanging off the back

:lol :laugh :lmao
That was awesome! Today I drove 2 e60 M5s, an e46 M3 Competition package Convertible, Supercharged Range Rover, X5 4.4, and a couple e60s and e65s/e66s. Let me tell you, driving one....you yourself need to manually switch the gears....the computer sucks at switching gears. There was like 1-2 seconds of lagg....I was waiting and waiting...and it finally switched the gears. I love driving the new M5s.....so sweet! :yum |
damit i want one. Also my my list of stuff to buy. E60 M5

Cool story, I have a question though, can you do the M mode on the go, I was under the impression that you had to stop before you could change into it, but in anycase I saw one in Hong Kong when I was in a taxi and we were going uphil and I heard the perfectly done smg downshift and i have to say it sounded awsome

thats awesome!
