I beat something with my M42 worth mentioning
Now, I'll be the first to admit: M42 = Slow (unless you go FI). But 318s can beat some cars if you can drive them well. Today, On my way home from school, I ran into this kid in a dark green early/mid 90s V6 Camaro convert with an automatic. He was driving like a complete tool. I could see him coming up behind me weaving through traffic. He somehow manages to get behind me as we are coming up to a stop light. When we are about to come to a stop, he cuts over into the left lane (cutting off another car) and pulls next to me. My first thought: Wow, nice wheels. Stock crappy camaro RS rims painted primer black with the paint flaking off near the edges. Sweet. He revved his shitty sounding V6 and inched forward.
I briefly thought for a second. Convert = heavy, V6 = not that much power, and automatic = slow. So I figured I might have a chance. The cross traffic light turned yellow and then red. Our light turned green. I was ready and got a fairly good start. He floored it and was off the line at the same time as me. I pulled about a 1/4 car length on him by the end of 1st and slowly pulled away after that. By the end of 3rd, I had over a car length on him. I went into 4th for like a split second and then let off.
As far as mods on his car; I think he had an exhaust. Or a stock rotted one. Not sure. But that's all I could tell. I don't think that's too bad for a 95' 318is.

On my way to my after school job one day I saw this guy from my school(Everyone hates this kid, his names Sean Riley if you know him) in his Camaro and it was rainy that day so the roads were slick. So anywho he pulls up next to me to turn left, hits the gas, oversteers and hits his back wheel on the curb and I was thinking, ah hahaha idiot...

I did something similar to a early 90's V8 stang manual. I don't think the kid could drive. I had my 190e 2.6 at the time. Still beat his ass though. Gotta love sticking it to em.

You ought to go back by that intersection to see how much debris that camaro left behind. They always have shit falling off them. Isn't "camaro" french for "hoover vacuum"?
