540 vs Cobra - United Bimmer Community

Well, last night went out to the movies and some midnight bowling. Took the
540i out, I left my street and made a left turn and saw a mustang approaching
very fast, I was like, WTF, let's give him a run for his money, so, as he got
to like one car away from me, I floored it to about 3/4 of the way and was
keeping the distance of pretty much a car and increasing on him.
We get to the red light and he's behind me, light turns green, we drive
humanly, get to the next light, and again he's behind me, but am the first car
at the light. Light turns green, I jump ahead to give him some room to see if
he wants to try to pass me.

And he most absolutely tries to pass me, I
step on in, lol, and same scenario, keep up the distance and start increasing.
Then I floor it

Having a rought time posting today for some reason... here is the rest:

As we are speeding down the roads, we get close to this intersection that I
know is famous for cops, so I slow down and let him get ahead of me, now the
guy I guess didn't see my bright brake lights because he was still hauling ass
thinking I was still racing after spanking him twice

Now as he passes me, I was expecting to see a "Mustang GT" engraved in the
bumper, so I look for it and I see "COBRA"

PS: The sound of the engine on the 540 just sounds lovely! Makes me want to
slap a V8 in my car

which year mustang? I could see this happening pre 2003+ Cobra's, but nothing newer.

I dunno, I see cobra I presume 5.0L... just assumed it'd be faster than me.... but guess not

seeing as that's the only auto car running, i guess that's the one i'd race.

95 Mustang GT was the last of the 5.0L , sorry but a 5.0 sounds sweet....back in the day.

Was that an e39 540i Sport? I love the 540i sport!

I've taken Mustang GTs in a e46 330xi, no problems.
