all stock, has the 19" allu (CSL style I guess is what they called) ones.
Well, we went out to lunch together today and he drove. I have to say, I expected a bit more out of that car. He took it to 140ish twice and I mean it was fast and smooth and you could tell the car still had a good bit to go. BUT it didn't get to 140 from 100 as fast as I though it would.
Another thing that might have been bad is that my coworker didn't really drive it right, you could tell he wasn't shifting it right.... (Yes was a manual) I dunno
What was funny is that the day before it we were talking about european cars and other fast imported cars, we talked about the Audi 3.0 and the Subaru wrx sti, well on the way to lunch we saw both of those and we probably would have raced the STi if he was in our lane (but he was turning right) Damn that would have been a nice race, oh well

333hp is a lot of power rooz lol. u and i w/ our e36 could hardly dream of hitting 140 constantly. (imposible for me because of my limiter, i donno if you have done ure software thing yet.) what i like about the e46 m3 is the interior and comfort...and the ablility to be practically a racecar. good story, later
Trust me I know the kind of number those are supposed to put out, but I was just saying that going by those numbers I expected a LOT more from that car

My mechanic (karl, zeit00), has said he's driven a lot of e46 m3's, and he also kinda expected more. I mean, don't get me wrong, they're amazing cars and I'd trade mine for one in a second, however he said e36 m3's are more of a fun driver's car... while e46 m3's have more style and comfort also.
I personally would take the e46 over e36 no questions though. hah

I don't know Roozie I've been in several E46 Ms and I was impressed. The two I really recall just kept pulling like crazy. Not one deadspot of power which was amazing. My guess is he wasn't hitting it.

i honestly couldnt imagine an E46 M3 being slow. Our 01 330 pulls pretty hard and had no problem getting to 132 so i would imagine that 100~ more horsepower would be increasibly fast compared to what i have felt.

WHen you sit in the drivers seat of the E46 is seems alot faster then sitting in the passanger seat. I dont know why but its like that for me every time I take one out, or Im riding shotgun.

That is very true. I let my buddy drive my 330 the other day and I was in the passneger seat and it does feel a lot quicker when you are behind the wheel. Even though is't not the M3, I think your point still applies. He did compliment it very well though, he said that he wasn't that jealous of my last 323 but he was all over the 330
