me vs integra gsr :) - United Bimmer Community

What up guys. I’m up in Spokane now and I met a guy who lives in tricities and he has an Integra GSR or something....anyway, I went over there on the weekend and we raced. I brought my car up from Yakima to tricites and hung out there all weekend. His car has a red line at 8k!!! Anyway, he had a horrible launch in the 1/4 mile. I beat him by 1.5 car lengths. We did a rolling at 40. I would shift into 3rd while listening to his engine whine at 7000+ rpm. He hung with me until 3rd and 4th. We hit about 120 and he was 2.5 car lengths behind. It was a lot closer than I thought. Anyway, have a good day I thought I would share the experience

haha nice. a bunch of david and my buddies all drive hondas and are always doin motor swaps andwhat not in em. but i've dropped on them a couple times on the freeway and handled them with ease. only place they might be close to me is the 1-2nd shift. always good times when you know the people you're racing and its all in good fun. no hurt feelings and stupid antics that way

hahah. ya devin, i have raced a few engine swapped hondas and some are easy kills and some are harder. i was supprised that he kept up that well. im used to hearing my intake and exhaust, everytime i shifted i heard his engine lol. it was screaming

try to race my friends gsr.... 1.8 -> 2.0 rebuilt engine
some turbo

650 whp capable, but its at 350 or some shit
it s insane
it has such a crazy sound, especially on the freeway haha

i take my car to 8k or higher

new head should put me around 9200rpms

only problem is my crank cant take more than about 9200 lol..i am going to have the rev limit at 8900 (peak hp will drop around 8600 so it wont be toooo bad..)

anyway nice kill, as much as i disslike them due to the sheer number of them GS-R's are pretty quick....still rather have a CRX with a b18a1 (GSR motor) but im a hatch kind of guy

hahaa kraut thats one of the things i love about your car, your new valve springs and valves.. well your whole cylnder head... 9200RPM?!?! lol i wish they made heads for BMW's straight 6 that could go that high

nice kill, that car has potential to be really fast really cheap, one thing i hate about rolling around town, you enver know which black hatch with steelies is going to hand even my car its ass haha

stop light to stop light its a toss up, on the freeway from 65+ i beat them till of course 145ish where there 6 speed starts to help them out haha. i have raced an STi with a downpipe and utec and still beat it by 3/4 or a car to 130 or so before we let off

gsr's are pretty quick. SOunds like a fun race. I haven't raced anyone in a while, my car isn't that fast... Can't wait till my mom gets an actual sports car, well she said 350z or evo/sti so far so i'll be hitting up the streets haha.
