almost rear ended a guy..bmw saved me..

so i was on my highway going about 60-65. There was a old truk in front of me like a 1/4 or so ahead. I was looking at Cds..not paying attention(cause im an idiot..i know) and the truck decided he wanted to turn left. Of course i look up and see this guy whos stopped in front of me a few hundred feet ahead me..and im like fuck. Hes coming up fast, i easy on the brakes..and by ease i mean i hit them pretty hard(not slamming them though) and i look for an alternative. Luckyly the road was paved to the side of the truck. He was still in front of me..i feel a little ABS kick on and i swerve ever so gracefully around this truck at around 45 mph. The car felt a little loose for a fraction of a second and it regained control.
First thign that cme to my mind was dam..this cars amazing. If i would try that in any other car..im pretty sure i would have been owned.
yup..i love BMW.

Unless you were going upwards of 120, this is a gay story. You say 'a few hundred' feet ... it shouldn't take you more than 130-140 feet to brake from 60 to a full stop.

Numark318i 09-11-2005 01:01 AM

ok so it was less then a few hundred feet..what ever. i was to close to stop that was the point.

DEATH2000 09-11-2005 12:39 PM

No, he's not, and thanks for telling me what my computer's system specs are ...

BMW believes life begins at 500 rpm, unless you have a m20 in your car ... then it really does begine at 6000 rpm. Shitty torque curve; I hate it.

I could just see Delmarcoco listening to trance right now... trying to get his moves on in the car at a stop light, trying to impress the "ladies."

Storamin 09-11-2005 06:50 PM

unless you're drifting with another car drifting 1 foot away from your door you should not be listening to trance.
