alright, i am at my girlfriends house and she lives in a neiborhood. lol. its down hill entering and obviously uphill exiting. i go by atleast 10 houses. anyway!!! im at her house watching a movie and my dad calls. "dave, i need your complete attention!" im like oh shit i was caught for something lol. because he never says that. anyway, 3 different family or people called the cops to report my car as a noise disturbance. how stupid is that!!! the speed limit is 25 and i usually go that or 30. i guess my UUC TSE is too loud. (there are a few nice corners in there though). i think it all started when a guy yelled at me when i went around a corner at the "speed limit" so back on topic. the 911 dispatch notices that my uncle who is a reserve policeman has the same last name as me and gives him a call. he tells my uncle that there have been 3 seperate complaints and soemone walked down to my car got the licenseplate # and called it in. my uncle called my dad and dad called me. so all in all, my uncle saved me with an encounter with the cops. how much would it have sucked for getting a ticket for being too loud. i would probably have to fight it and get a noise test done or whatever. anyway, i thought this was a great story to be shared lol!!! later guys

Fuck that shit dude. Its not an illegal exhaust, and unless you were driving wrecklessly they have no right to call teh cops on yer ass.

Next time you see one of them drop to neutral and rev to 5k rpm's while waving with a smile on your face.

Sucks man. If it's just eyewitness reports though the cops can't do anything if you say it wasn't you. Unless a cop hears your car driving by and thinks it's too loud... they're not going to file legal action against you based on what a neighbor said. And they can't make you go out to the garage and start it or anything without a warrent. Just say it wasn't you or something and they can't do anything.

just a similar story, one time my brother was driving and a bunch of stuff happened, we were following somone and he passed a few people(like 3) so we came to pass and there was no room so we had to pass everyone(like 5) and the second to last lady tried not to let us pass so my brother got real close to her, it was already a solid line, and he passed her and the car infront of her, then she passed the car infront of her(solid line as well) and started following us, except we ddint really know she was b/c we burned her after a while... well we were heading to a marina(it was a small town,a nd everyone who goes to that town goes to the marina(adirondack mountains if you have ever herad of them)) so about 10 mins after we arrive her car comes in, she opens the window and goes "BUSTED" i got your plate number and ima call the cops, were u tryign to kill someone.. and mind you, there were 7 of us guys, and it was her and her 10 yr old son, so my bro was like yeah well u did the same exact thing so why dont you get out of here, then he liked kicked her car, and she goes, "i dare you, hit my car again" so he says ok and hits like 3 times harder, she was about to get out of the car and then she saw that there was 7 of us, she put her seatbelt back on, then she says i got ur plate number nd ima call the cops,i said, yea i got ur plate number too, what you gunna do about it, and that was 1.5 months ago and we havent heard nothing from no cops

dude, your exhaust is probably below the legal decibal limit. If it were me though I would tone it down just out of respect for my gf. If you drive like an ass in her neighborhood you will probably make her look like an ass too.

ive never gotten in shit over the sound of my car, just my music, me and Nicole pulled up infront of her house and a little while later her stepdad came and told me next time to keep it down cause the neighboors would complain. Besides, doing stupid shit in front of ur gf's house is dumb and disrespectful
