me vs a wrx (grrr)
hey guys!. i went up to Rimrock today with 3 of my friends and did some bridge/cliff jumping. great day, we walk back to where my car is parked at see this 2002 black wrx. i find the owner and talk to him. he has intake/exhuast and a chip...i wasnt very sure if i was going to get walked or not. if i ever find a stock one i think i could hold my own. we are driving home and im tagging a long, we hit a straight away and he gradually pulls ahead of me . i tell myself that its my 3 friends....so about 500 extra pounds. lol jus tkidding. he beat me pretty good and we went around a few corners. great day. . i usually dont encounter very many fast cars...its my first loss lol. later guys!!

kool, i drove a WRX once, fast as fuck is all i can say. they will pull like nuts in first and second. But even still i would take the E36 over a WRX, they can be super up so nicely for not much money

Ah, VTEC. All of the lag, none of the turbo. It's like waiting for bad sex

i'm about to buy a 93 civic for cheap to work on. anyone know if the dx's ( the 105 hp 1.5 liter would be vtec? the ex are 1.6 liter 125 hp so i asumed that they would be the vtec ones, sorry about the off topic).
Those wrx's are pretty fast! I see a lot of them driving around near where I live.

Put down the Top Gear DVD. That little snail has so little lag it is incredible.

"Turbo lag" is relative.
You, being N/A, have a concept of what you percieve as "turbo lag". Me, coming from 8yrs of FI modification, feel "lag" isn't actually laggy unless full boost comes on around 5k. Full boost in the 3k-4k range is commonplace, unless you go smaller, BB, etc.
Thus, I pointed out that the teeny snails on the Rex(s) have very little lag compared to your assertation of "massive" lag.
Cleared up?

perfect. thanks. i was just stating that i would have assumed the turbo would have kicked in faster. it felt like a N/A 4 cyl until 4250 rpm which i thought was kinda weird. i guess it just felt like a lot to me cya thanks for helping

like what? price range is under 2k, something cheap and easy to work on, and also low insurance, so don't even say another BMW.
