Killed Yet another civic

I would have hoped that by now all those littelc rappy Civic's would learn that they aren't even in the same league as ANY bmw out there, but Nooooo...

Here is the story, was driving home from work, pretty tired, had a long day, and I see this little Civic coupe, dark silver, black 17"-18" rims smoked tail lights, kinda ricey, but nothing extreme. Two guys were in it, am sure the guy had noticed my car and he was to my right, but 2 cars ahead. When the light turned green he waited for me to pass him, then he floored it (at the part of the road it get's 2 lanes wider) he goes in the far right lane, I wait until the guy has about 3 cars lead from me, then I push the pedal somewhat harder, taking it to 85mph, I gain back on the guy and fly by him in no time , then I flashed my brake lights making sure he understand that he completely lost.

I know it's not much to brag about but I just hate it when those shit boxes thing they can race. I mean come on guy, you got a damn HONDA CIVIC!!!!

Honestly, if you car is in good running shape, I don't think you would get raped by a civic, it might be a good race, but no raping would invovled

And the funniest part in the story is that they guy was trying to show off to me

But I think the guy I beat had one, not sure, he got a much better lok at my car's ass than I had a look at his

Civics in the 10s,9s,8s,and 7s = countless

Be careful when you bash an entire car make, and make sure to post when a turbocharged one, or even a slightly built N/A, hands you your ass.

Of course, there are some blazing fast civics, but the vast majority of the ones you see on the road run in the 16's. Haha. I understand civics can be built to drag crazy fast, but it's unusual to see one on the road driving around.

LandoAWD, only way a civic would run in the 7s or in the 10's would be if the owner puts massive amount of money in it. I have a friend who put a prelude engine in his and nos, the car was gutted out all he had in it was pretty much a driver seat and a battery in the trunk, you could literally lift his car up. Whith his spray he was in the 12's

There are SEVERAL 11 or better cars in Charlotte/Concord. Not too much spent on those, but they do look like your everyday "Honda Joe" ricer guy...once the turbo spools, though...

Just warning you about pidgeonholing.

My friend Jesse has a 2000 Civic with a t3/t4 turbo running on on 17psi and a 100shot of NOS and he just broke into the 11s for the first time. Getting 10 second cars and lower is not an easy thing to do. But to say there are TONS OF them out there is an over statement imo. Most of them that do run this, spend years in development and are strcitly race cars. Having 10 second street cars and drag cars isn't a real common thing around here. Maybe where you're from it is, but I find that somewhat hard to believe... who knows I might be niave (sp)

10 second imports are far fewer than 10 second domestics, but they are out there. Notice when I scaled down the area geographically to talk about Charlotte, the "countless" went to "several". There are TONS out there on the road, on back of trailers, etc, but there are only several in his area. I have run into a couple, not in the Rover of course, and been QUITE surprised.

Point I was trying to make: Not all the "ricer civics" out there should be scoffed at.
