just some hwy 26 fun
Well for those of you that don't know, I go to Western Washington University in bellingham. I coach the Waterpolo team here and we had a tournament in Pullman (WSU Cougars) this last weekend. I was asked to drive and decided it might be a fun little cruise. I had 4 guys in the car including myself and we had just gone through a little town on hwy 26 East and i passed a slower moving pickup and as i went around him he nailed me with his brights. it was probably about 10:30 and was dark as hell cause its a tiny 2 lane hwy. well he sped up and stayed on my ass when i was doin about 75 (5 over the limit to avoid cop stress) Finally i got frustrated as did the passengers and i decided to get him out of my rear view. Dropped to 4th and punched it up to 5500 then shifted to fifth and kept on goin up to about 120. First time i've taken the car up that high and it felt real nice even with 4 guys in the car. I still had power left i just didn't wanna push it anymore with that many passengers.
Anyways it was a good time and i can't wait to get my car on H&R's and the TMS chip!

Good stuff, but I probably would have let him pass and then light him up with my brights... and E34s have very good hi-beams.

nice. ya, the damn red necks in WA can get really frustrating, esspecially at my school. people making fun of my for driving a BMW. "dude, your a fag, any muscle car could kick the shit out of your car" and I say "yes, possibly, but racing in a straight line is not a race in my book" (it is, but not for BMW's.)
I am actually interested in attending WWU (have a WWU t-shirt on right now), you should come to teh track day JrHaile is setting up, and you should meet David (lived up in Bellingham as well).

not my fault, EML faults suck! I think i may have it somewhat figured out though. Talked to dan (dan-needabimma) [DTM] last night about it and he said it was probably fuel delivery or spark related. so i changed out the plugs to dosch platinum 2's and then i took apart the whole throttle body and reconditioned it, runs a lot smoother now. (If you guys want to do this let me know cause i know how to do it now... but the point of the story is i haven't gotten another fault YET.
