328i vs. 1800cc Harley V-twin
Me and a friend were driving home, we pull up behind a Harley who was next to this blue van. Wierdly enough the woman in the passenger seat of the van started talking to the guy on the bike. I dunno what the convo was about but i didnt care. Shortly after he reved his engine, so i reved mine. The woman got a big smile on her face for some reason. So when the light goes green, we both take off, im still behind the harley so as soon as im clear of the van i switch lanes and floor it up to the harley (was never more than a car lenth ahead till i got beside him). I got beside him pretty quick, and he new i was there. So i hear VRROOOMMM as he goes full throttle, so my foot is now pinned to the floor. i was beside him for only 3 seconds max when he floored it, and after that i just took off like no other. When i got about 5-6 car lenths ahead i looked back and saw him slowing down. he new it was over (plus we were heading into traffic pretty quick). I eneded up pulling up next to him 2 lights later, so i asked how big the bike was (displacment wise) and all i hear is 1800 before he takes off. So it was pretty fun, first kill against a motor-bike.

Ah, VTEC. All of the lag, none of the turbo. It's like waiting for bad sex

sounds like total bs to me dude. Not trying to be rude one bit, but my dad has a 1200cc sportster and that thing HALLS BALLS! It probably wasn't OT for him but sounded like it. Even if it was the monster hog, you still and I for that matter would have been smoked. And Harley's are not slow one bit. I've driver many of them, and they're quick as hell for the most part, even the cruisers. Just my opinion, and I don't mean to contradict anyone here, but no way in hell will a 328 beat any Harley from a rolling start or dead stop for that matter.

A Harley is no crotch rocket obviously, but how can you say it's slow when it'll destroy any car on this board? And they handle great (talking about a sportster). It might be a slow motorcycle, but it's not slow compared to a car. I've road all sorts of harley's because my dad is a huge buff and NEVER have I ever come across one that was "slow"

i dunno i just am a sport bike kind of guy had a CBR 600F3 smokin joes (woooot) and a SV650S and now im looking for a Buell Firebolt XB12R (best balanced and handling sport bikes around) but bikes are no good for turns...common misconception...i consistantly beat sport bikes in turns...4 tires are better than 2 in the turns

who said anything about turns, this race sounded like it was a straight, and besides, i dont doubt that it happened, but i do doubt that the guy driving the harley was actually racing

I don't doubt it at all. The average modern day Harley rider knows more about 401Ks than pistons and doesn't shift properly.
