Raced a 325 today - United Bimmer Community

came around a corner after going to the bank to see a stock looking 325. came up on it and was surprised to see a young dude hat sideways etc... i was thinking cool young guy with a bmw, the light ahead of us was red so i thought at the stop i would tell him about Ub.c but it turned green as we were coming up on it... i hear him punch it and take off (i can tell he is in an automatic now...) well i was in second slowling down to stop and decide to get on it too (at around 3400) which is right where my power kicks in, anyways redline through 2nd (60mph) and shift to third catch him and blow past him... didnt get a chance to race him from a stop, but i know i would have still won...

I dont usually like to race other bimmers... but for some reason today it seemed fun!

nice run. why do you not like to race other bimmers?, i have had a few runs with bimmers in the twisties (only time my hatch can keep up) and after we'd stop and talk, even set up a meet with one guy. only time ive pwned someone in a straight line race was in the 540i, put a few e36's to shame

hhaha. where was this and what color is the car. i think i drove next to the guy for a while with the same idea of tellin him about the forum but he wasn't even lookin over at me. e36 drivers up here are fuckin ignorant to my car or somethin...like its too old to be a true bimmer or some shit. pisses me off its like 5 or 6 times in the last week

that would piss me off too. i love checking out cool old cars. Whether its old or new, BMW's are all equally beautiful

...Unless its riced out with a big wing, altezzas, fart can exhaust and vynals. then its just too fast for me to look at, my eyes wouldn't be able to handle the speed.

i like telling random BMW's that i meet about a meet or something coming up, good way to spread the postive energy of fellow bmw owners.

yeah when i first got my bmw 2 years ago i got a lot more waves from fellow drivers.. now we have atleast 4 e36 bimmers with spinners on them haha. Not to mention all the other ones i see driving around and i have to take a double take with a WTF?

ya i was drivin back from mt baker highway this afternoon and a pretty clean lookin black e36 328 pulls up behind me. we go on that large round turn down onto I-5 S and i just slam it all the way around the corner. i pull out and i let him go by me a ways down (we weren't racing) but i gave him the wave and i got it back!!!! (its gotta be the 18s...)
