Eversince I got my BMW I turned into a VW hater never going to get one of them ever!! I used to drive a VW Polo and didn't have a nice 2 year run with it .
I had to drive it again today after months and daaaaamnnnn was it hard to get the balance right on 1st gear! I can't help but wonder how I was able to drive that car .
Mazda is an expensive car, they're good but they have expensive parts.

If it was a new R32 it was a DSG so no clutch slipping. Mk4's are nice my friends mom has one that I drove a few times, has soo much grip, handles great.

IMO the Polo isn't VW's best car. My mom's Jetta is pretty cool

VW Polo is most certainly not VW's best car and it'll stay like that since the Golf is doing good in the performance range of VW cars.
One thing I know is that VW has some ugly interior lately. The VW previous to the new Golf had a very good interior but now it's not all that. Would definately prefer an Audi S3 instead .

Nahhhh, VW isnt bad. Its a car for people who can't afford real german cars, but want the same quality and reliability.

Where did you get that idea from? You make it sound like BMW's are so much better.

yeah... I don't like most of the latest VW, but they are reliable, efficient, the GTi or R32 are really sweet cars, and UNLIKE BMW, VW provides a range of fuel-efficiency tuned cars here in Europe. They're called the "BlueMotion" models and really work great. Basically you can have the Polo, Golf, Passat and Touran models wth it. Bluemotion is working because they use smaller tires, have a special body kit to improve aerodynamics, are lowered (I think?), and get a special tranny. Also the engines are mpg-tuned. And you get all of this for about 700-1000 bucks on top of the price for a normal VW, so that's an awesome deal

BMW better than VW? Oh HELL YEAH!!!!!!
Btw my taste in cars is balanced more towards business cars so maybe thats why my hatred towards VW cars, since they're mainly focused on younger drivers.
VW Golf looks REALLY GOOD inside no doubt! (The VW Golf previous to the new model that is).
BMW M3 CSL
Porsche 911 Turbo
2 of my TOP BEST cars and I do plan on getting both. The porsche will be a drag but as long as I can get a well paid job it should allll be gooood
I'm kinda lost now, dunno WHO 91bmw is talking to. Even if it wasn't to me i'd agree with the person who implied BMW's are better than VW .
Audi can go head to head to BMW but VW just doesn't have that upper class feeling to it. The Audi RS 4 looks awesome too! *drool*
Soo many HOT damn cars dunno which one to go for!

What I mean is that VW has only become reliable the last 5 years before that you could've compared it to a Kia.

heh yea. our VW bug and cabrio had alot of issues. Both 1999 models. Bah.
But...their engines ran fine. Beetle handled pretty good. Cabrio sucked ass.
I sit in an older Jetta(1995-2000) and im just not pleased in it. VR6 or not...just doesnt feel like a good car.

my vw is very reliable, but it is a 2 liter, with literally no electrical parts BMW's are pretty good, driver wise, but a vw can be made faster for way less. I mean how much would it cost for a non-m BMW to make 250 wheel vs a mk5 gti?

yeah. I also diagree to the thing that "you could compare them to a Kia." Think of the Kias back then. They were cheap-ass rubbish. I don't really love the VW, but I think they have to be respected. Also, they had some really interesting technical innovations (TFSI, FSI and TSI engines, DSG)

So you're telling me a VW in 1998 was rubbish 4 real?????
Damn I got bumped then 2 years ago now I feel like I bought some crappy Ford car or something lol.
Well I used to drive a VW Polo 1998 before I got my BMW 318i . At present my dad drives the VW Polo since we're waiting for my younger bro or sis to pass their driving test so that they can take over the VW polo. No wonder why I had so much hatred towards the VW!!
VW Golf (2004 plus) models look really nice inside, I totally love the whole lighting part about it lol. It's a good car and I can see that VW has developed a lot.
Well I still hate them
