Launching

so very very very early this morning i was coming home, being an ass and taking my feelings out with my driving. anyway...I stopped at a stop sign and some truck pulled up next to me. Since i pulled up to the sign sreeching im sure they were like wtf?

Revved it to 3000 and slipped the clutch flawlessly...was at 35 before i even got across the small intersection. Guess my 318 has more balls then i thought.

either way..had to share my perfect launch experience. I usually wouldnt do that..but was in the mood i guess.

i then almost ran the next stop sign(a block later) and slammed the brakes like never before. she stopped on a dime.

Hell yea the little m42 is great! You want some real stopping power get some hawk hp+ on it and be prepared to go through the windows!!!! I have them on now they are ment to be my track pads but I haven't gotten a replacement, once you forget about the horribly loud noise they make (goes away when they are properly heated up, unfortunatly in the city they dont get much of a chance).

Cels, just get to know the car go out and stomp it.

That doesn't make any sense. Any car can be launched like that. (Some are slower than others, of course)

talking of launching reminds of an incident few weeks ago, I had taken my wife to work and was driving home around 8.15 in the evening.
I noticed a taxi in my rear view riding my bumper, now I'm on a dual carriageway (2 lane highway) with a speed limit of 40mph and this guy in the taxi is trying to push me, we come to a set of traffic signals they are at red , so i'm thinking i got to lose this guy, the lights go green, i stomp on the gas, and in about 8 seconds Im doin 65mph and the taxi is rapidly dissapearing in my rear view.
What got me is, I didnt know my car was capable of accelerating so damn fast, i was amazed, and very happy, for a 318 tourer she can sure as hell shift.
