Dumbest question record
Ok... I am quite likely to be flamed into so many small pieces of charcoal, but I have to ask this question......
Does the 'bimmer' in United Bimmer rhyme with 'swimmer', or with 'dreamer'? I have always used the word 'Beemer' (rhymes with dreamer) to describe BMW's, but I've now seen a couple forums the use 'bimmer' which, to me, should rhyme with swimmer.
My apologies... I did not search the forum for any similar threads. Please have some patience for the newb.

I have been around bmw's quite a lot, and I know the difference in the two, but I still call bmw's beemers. It is just easier to say, bimmer sounds retarded also.
When my car got rear-ended last summer and the guy fled the scene, I was describing the car (that hit me) to a cop and I said, "It was a mid-90's burgundy galant sedan." To which he replies, "was it a four door?" You should have seen my face. I was thinking, "is this a trick question?"
Haha, I know the spelling and everything, however I personally think the swimmer pronunciation sounds strange, so when speaking I say "beamer" (sound), but when writing, I spell it correctly.
And by the way, this is what sets us apart from other communities. Look at the above posts. Most communities would go for blood on this thread, however UB members are respectful and friendly.

Wow there must be some serious assholes out there. I didn't even think it was the dumb of a question.
