Non BMW Heathen Joins United Bimmer
Just introducing myself here. I live in nor-cal. I like fast cars and fast women. I really want to have an 04 M3 Vert one day (probibly not too far along in the future)because im in love with the E46 bodystyle and those things book ass! I currently own, and probibly always will own, a Pontiac GTO. It has all the boltons as of right now. Its a six speed as well.
Welcome Every so often a hater may come around, but as long as you are happy with being 'united,' nobody will demand that you drive a bimmer. Enjoy UB.

Welcome.
Your GTO has some similarities to BMWs according to Motor Trend.

Four large analog gauges (wearing faces color-coordinated with the exterior paint) lie in a large pod behind the wheel; the dials and much of the interior are trimmed with a classy satin-nickel finish (as are the drilled pedals). The four-spoke steering wheel (with integrated audio controls) feels good in your hands and is infinitely adjustable for tilt and telescope--something we've been nagging GM to do for years. The center stack houses straightforward climate controls and that Blaupunkt audio system--a 200-watt, 10-speaker affair with in-dash six-disc CD changer. There's not a blob of bling-bling marring the cool, businesslike ambiance. Your $500 aluminum attache case will look right at home here.

Pontiac says GTO accelerates from rest to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds with manual transmission, 5.4 with automatic; run the standing-start quarter mile in 13.8 seconds at 105 mph (manual) or 102 mph (automatic). Top speed is limited to 155 mph to stay within the tires' safety range.
144 mph, not bad. USA Today says top speed is 155mph.
