Hey There!

Hey! My friend Mboverload just refered me to this site, as he is looking to get a first car, and wanted to look into BMWs. I've been a fan of BMW since I was about 4, and now I am 18. My family is a huge BMW family.. so I thought I'd join here and see what others out there think about the brand and cars. I am a member of BMW CCA, and enjoy the Roundel Magazine regularly.

Hope I can be a valuable member, I'm looking forward to checking out these forums.

My family currently has 5 BMWs, whose models and years are listed below:
My car: 2000 BMW Z3 2.3
Father: 2005 BMW X5 4.4
2003 BMW M5
Mother:2001 BMW 525it
Brother:1993 BMW 325is

Mine is a Black on Red 5 speed manual. When I got it I was not a fan of red interiors, but I've come to like it, it makes the interior look slightly more sporty than my dad's M5, which is silver on black. Unfortunately, he didn't get to chose the color, as the dealer only had 1 new M5 at the time he was looking at them.

He wasn't even concidering an M5, but they let him test drive it and then he decided to order it the same day. So as a warning to all of you: Don't test drive an M5 unless you have the money for, or plan to buy one, they're addictingly fun to drive.

Oh.. and manuals are the only way to drive.

I agree with you.....

But, have you driven a e46 M3 with SMG or an e60 with SMG?

Those can be pretty fun too, but not as fun as manuals. Especially the e46 330i Performance package with the short throw shifter. That has got to be one of the best to drive. :yum Another fun one to drive is an e39 M5 with a short throw shifter.

Anywho.

Welcome and glad to see a family full of bimmers. :clap
