New here. I just bought a '96 328is. No modifications yet--not quite sure what I want to do. Any suggestions?

Just thought I'd introduce myself.

welcome, you might want to start a thread to introduce yourself and ask for suggestions so we don't clutter this one up.

Welcome, to answer your question, dropping it would probably be a pretty sweet mod and will help handling.

Ah, suggestions. I'd recommend getting rid of those yellow corners first and replacing them with euro clears.

The first performance mods someone usually does is a cold air intake (CAI) and software (such as a Conforti Shark Injector for you). Those two mods work well together.

Ah, yeah. At first I didn't like the white (I'm kinda partial to black) but after just looking at it, the color grew on me and now I'm in love with it.

Thanks for the suggestions so far--tinting and different rims are at the top of my list. I've never actually modified a car so it's a new experience. As for tinting, I'm not quite sure how much I should get it tinted or how much it should be for that matter.

Rooz- Your car makes me drool! When I envisioned doing cosmetic modifications, it looked a lot like yours!

Where can I get the clear corners (and how much should they be so I know if I'm getting ripped off or not)? Also, I've noticed that a lot of you have the customized european license plates--those are neat!-- is there a certain online store that comes recommended or should I just google for one?

Thanks for all the help! Apologies for sounding like a complete n00b.

Welcome, and white is a great color except for the constant car washes, but I don't mind. For the tinting, check with your local police to see what the legal limit is, unless you want to tempt fate by driving around too dark.

Or better yet, email umnitzae@umnitza.com (that's Ouri from Umnitza EAST, our sponsor... not the same as umnitza.com, two seperate companies). He'll take care of you.
