Hello Everyone!!!

Hi Guys and Girls! My name is Viktor (Vik), please welcome me to your lovely forum!=)

VTEK is my nickname which has NOTHING to do with HONDA! (they spell it with a C for you smart asses)

Originally I am from Moscow, Russia. Then I lived in California, USA for 8 years. Then back to Moscow for approx 5 years, and since May 2011 I am now living in Sydney, Australia! Woohoo!!!

For my 24th birthday in August I bought myself a 2002 E46 320i
I dreamed about the e46 for about 10 years prior to that, on and off. Sometimes more feverishly than others, the last 2-3 years being the worst.
My family was never very well-off, and I've been living on my own since 16, so it took a bit longer than I'd have liked, but goddamn it feels good

It also happens to be my very first 4-wheeled vehicle. I never owned a car before, was always more of a 2-wheel kinda guy (I sold my gorgeous R6 with tears on my eyes when I was flying over here)

So I've only had it for aboot 3 months now. Still overjoyed, despite the "hicups" it's giving me. I knew it would take some time and money getting it "back in shape".

Last one was today, and I'm afraid it could be the transmission. It's hardly rolling forward on an even surface in D, and rolling back even on the slightest gradient. It feels like it's in neutral on a manual gearbox, not in D on an auto. Going to get it looked at 2moro... Was driving just fine a couple days prior, it's weird...

Anyone in Sydney?=)

I love it!=) It's giving me a bit of a hard time, I posted another thread in the E46 section asking a few questions, but it never appeared on the site - I just got the "post has to be checked by moderator" message and that was the last I saw of it) I didn't write any bad words or anything. Oh well, these things happen, no big deal.

I'm in the middle of a tranny oil-filter DIY at the moment (damn parts shop gave me the wrong filter - GM vs ZF, and I didn't actually get under the car until I bought the filter - so I trusted them with the choice based on model year and model and etc). In the end all I could do was get the 150K grime out of there and fill it up with fresh fluid on the old filter and gasket. But I decided that's not all bad - it'll help me get some more muck out of the torque converter and etc and then I'll drop the pan again once I've got the new filter.

Getting rid of the old fluid and putting in new first will help get even more old fluid out when you drop the pan. In a way it was a benefit.
