Suspicious new-car paperwork anybody?
 

I bought a new BMW 2 years ago and was FLOORED when I got home and realized that I'd actually been charged $3-4k MORE than we agreed..........and of course I'd signed about a million documents, so I panicked and called immediately and said "WHAT THE H*** IS THIS ALL ABOUT??!!" Then the finance guy apologized, said it was an honest mistake, blah, blah..........

Looking back, I still think they tried to cheat me. I wonder if this happens a lot. You reach a VERBAL agreement, then about 2 hours goes by because OH, WE ALL KNOW IT TAKES AT LEAST TWO HOURS TO ASSEMBLE ALL THAT PAPERWORK AND HAVE YOU SIGN THOSE IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS.......

.......then 2 hours goes by and the "price" of the car actually went up - WAY UP - and you weren't even paying attention.

Gee, you don't really care. You get your payment book in the mail, you have a brand new car.....Life is great!
