We are the founders... not necessarily "in charge". lol, if you're asking about mods, we have 6.
You'll probably reconize most people around here... because almost every bmw-forum person either switched over here completely, or posts on both forums. (in response to you saying all the avatars and sigs were the same earlier on, lol)
Basically, this forum was started because we didn't feel bmw-forums was doing as good of a job as they could. They've been around for years, and should be a lot more successful then they actually are. The admins (except furious) are rarely involved in the day-to-day affairs of the forum, and I assume just sit back and collect money from advertising. Pauly is an admin who handles all the money, and when was the last time you saw him post? lol
This forum was created to make a difference. We don't want the power or money, we want a successful community that's up with bimmerforums and dtm power in size. We want a community where the members have a say in what goes on, and everyone new or old feels part of the community.
We're fixing the flaws we found in other forums... and we're treating the members better than any other forum. For example in the next week or so we're going to roll out free @unitedbimmer.com email accounts for all members, 100MB of file storage per member for pics/videos/sigs/etc, and free decals for your car. :)
