Your Ride: VW CC (Shopping for BMW)
Talking Hello from the Frozen Tundra!

Hi all,
I'm new to this forum. I'm here primarily to research BMWs, as I am not an owner (yet), and I want to learn as much as I can. In my experience, forums are usually the best way to get to the nitty gritty of positives, negatives, fixes, and failures...

The BMW 335d has caught my attention. I do a lot of driving and fuel efficiency is key, but performance is too! So a hybrid - no way! Diesel seems to be the answer for now. But now I see that the 335d is going to be retired this August?! Might have to buy used.

I currently drive a VW CC, and it's my first German car (actually built in Emden, Germany). I was driving a 2002 Chevy Cavalier (ugh! never again). I bought the VW new in August 2010 and I have put 33,200 miles on it so far. If they had a diesel version available in the US, I'd trade-in my gas version tomorrow.

Since I get reimbursed mileage, I'm socking away the money so I can buy my BMW with cash. I figure I'll have a good chunk of $ in hand when the time comes.
