Hi, my name is Gorg.

I'm a retired Navy helo driver now working for the Navy as a civilian Readiness Analyst. I have been driving a Z4 for about 7 years and I love it. Rag top w/ no frills and fun to drive. Anxious to learn more about BMWs and maybe learn to work on some of the basics.

Hello, my name is Jose

I am a 21 year Army Retiree, and I searched for the longest time for a forum like this one I am glad I found this place and hope for many great interactions.

My issue is that since moving to Tucson, Arizona 7 years ago I have found it very hard to find any reputable BMW repair center, I had taken my 1993 325i to the local BMW auto center but they took my money and left me hanging. So now I am trying to figure this out myself because I do not have the money to throw away.

I have been having an issue with the electrical system and the local BMW shop told me that the motherboard was faulty my windows would work when they wanted to, as would the radio and sunroof, so they had to re-solder something on the motherboard, well that worked for a short while and then it quit working, I was told the 90 days was over and I had to pay again, so now I am trying to figure this out myself and hope someone out in this forum can help me. When I charge the battery the vehicle starts, and when I turn the engine off I can hear a humming sound I was told by another person that his vehicle (which is a Honda) had the same sound and that is was a relay switch. Can someone tell me if they have ever run into this issue? The humming sound will not stop until the battery is dead and the radio and windows will not work properly its like if there is a short somewhere. Please help!

Thank you,

Jose
