just bought my first
Hi All, I just bought my first bmw this weekend. 1996 318i with 125k. I know, it's not so fancy but I just needed a good mpg commuter that I could pay cash for. I love the feel. Hopefully, it will be my baby step into more bimmers to come  I kind of rushed the purchase and didn't do a pre-buy. I have an inspection scheduled this week. Any experienced 318 drivers out there? I had my first spook when the engine light came on the day after purchase!!! The previous owner said it was due to suction with the gas cap I had my second spook when the brakes got loud and rough parking on a very steep incline. A friend came over and said we were just feeling the ABS system Third spook, spinning wheels on the uphill. Same friend said it's just me getting used to the torque and rear wheel drive! Anyway, I am still optimistic! For 3,000 dollars if I get 3-5 years I'll be happy. Looking forward to reading through the site! Thanks! Kiki Last edited by kiki g; 11-08-2010 at 11:35 AM.. |
