Back again - seems like AGES!

Hi everyone,

Its been a while since I've owned a BMW, but may well be in line for another one. I uses to have a 316SE which was nice to drive but my enthusiasm for Impreza's got the better of me (3 times in total!)

I'm not looking at 2 cars :-

* 1997 "P" 316 Compact with 115k FSH, tidy, no marks - going to look at on Tuesday
* 1998 "R" 318 IS (rare 4 door door apparently) 102k FSH (BMW), again tidy, well looked after.

Both are at similar prices, just wondering which would be best to go for as I've been out or the loop for a while. Any tips on what to look for on each model?
Thanks

Jon
