First BMW, seems loud?
Hi... I just bought a 2007 328i sedan, CPO and it really seems loud. I can't tell if it's coming from tires or brakes, but it sorta sounds like when you've just gotten new brakes and they need to wear correctly or if your brakes are almost worn down. No noise when idling, just driving and louder when I come to a stop. I've read horror stories now about tire problems so just wanted to see what you experts thought it could be.
This is generally a quiet car no? I can hear the noise over my stereo...
BMW says this is normal. No problems, but they sold me this vehicle yesterday so not sure I trust this.

Run flat tires are noisy. What kind of noise is it, what speeds do you hear it at. What makes it stop? need to know if it's speed related, engine rpm related. Noise is pretty general. You mention not worn in brake noise is there a more specific description you can provide. Grinding, squealing, grumbling?

It's kind of a low grumbling and its loud when driving and coming to a stop. Not when idling. The dealer just agreed to replace 3 out of 4 tires at no cost since I just got the car Friday. They think this is the source of the noise. I was also told by my salesman that I was getting the top line stereo which it is not. It's the hi fi one, not the Logic 7. So for that, they are giving me an ipod interface upgrade from the MP3 player. They said they'd do all that or I could pick a different car. I think I'll stay with this one and hope that soon I'll have the awesome driving experience everyone seems to have with their BMW!
