Hello all, Moved from bimmerforums.com, Hope the people here are nicer :)

So yeah I've been at bimmerforums.com for almost 2 years now. Alot of time when I asked for help I would get either little responses or would get "take it to a mechanic to have the codes read" well if I was going to do that I wouldn't be asking in a forum. Then when I brought that fact up and was trying to point out that I am trying to fix the problem myself people would get pissed off at me for not listening to them.... It seems most people there have over inflated egos and just like to be jerks. Though there are some very helpful people there too. But I just have had enough of it.

I would hope the people here will helpful and not be so quick to rudely judge me.

So on to me, sorry for the long into. And this long story which people prolly dont care about but meh.

I Have a white on black 94' 530i auto. One day I will own a 94-95 540i/6, I would have probably had it by now if uncontrollable circumstances in my life wouldn't keep coming up and costing me alot of money....

My first car was a 78' 530i when I was 15 and I loved it even though it was a beater, it made me fall in love with bmws. I've had many cars in between as well, but nothing beats the bmws imho.

I got a black on black 94 530i with 100k miles when I was 17, no my parents did not buy it I worked hard for it. It was a beautiful car and was perfect paint, leather and engine bay. It was wrecked almost exactly 1 year later, believe me it was not my fault, but my insurance would not cover it. And so it sat for almost 3 years.

I finally came across a white on grey 94' 530i with 116k miles with a blown nikasil engine, locally, for $800 bucks and I had the money. Perfect exterior, dark tinted windows, newer 17" bmw rims, decent interior. I then took on the challenge of putting the engine from my black 530 into it. I succeeded on my first attempt with zero help, no books and limited tools. I then put the black ones nice black leather interior in the white one for a white on black bmw.

I have since driven it over 20,000 miles with just maintenance and a few small things, a TPS and a wheel speed sensor. I also just recently put in an electric fan to replace the bad fan clutch that went out last fall.

So now I am here.

Within the last month the car has started to occasionally get a rough and erratic idle, sometimes even stalling. This came and went randomly. The other day it progressed to horrible low idle, a cel 1215-maf sensor code, and very little power. I was trying to get help at bimmforums and ended up having several people get pissed of at me, not the first time, so I moved on to here. I have concluded it is an intake leak and will be working on it tomorrow, I will post a thread asking for help here if I can not fix it tomorrow.

Anyway I doubt anyone will read all of this jabbering but when I'm bored I get to typin.

I hope to have good experiences here!
