Hard top

Hi all: I am a new member and just purchased my first Bimmer; a 2005 330 Ci convertible. I am considering puchasing a hard top but would like input from those who have one: is it difficult to install? How much is a fair price to pay for one? Anything else you would care to share about them.

Thanks, Don

It takes 2 people to install unless you buy the bmw pully system that you mount to the ceilling of your garage. You could try to make your own, Im still thinking of a way.
They do tend to make creaking noises if the seals are not properly lubricated. They keep down alot of road noise and make it like a coupe with the warmth in the winter.
I know that e30 hardtops go for around 1100 + or -, e46 I would say around $2k since they are painted to match.

Thanks for the information you provided. I found a supplier for hard tops in Greece, but he told me to make an offer. Do the hard tops all have a basic black head liner?

Thats gona be a nice shipping cost from greece, I bet if you look hard and wait a bit you can find closter to you, atleast in america.
