Greetings

Hi guys. I'm new to the board and will probably lurk for a while.

I'm new to bmws. My 77 320i has had a hard life. I have had it about three months and am slowly going through it to restore full driveability.

So far: headers and tail-pipe, electronic (hall effect) ignition, aux air valve, replaced WUR with UTCIS-v digital control pressure regulator, brake master, clutch hydraulics, tie rod ends, fuel pump and filter, and repairs to the wire harness to provide 12 v where it was lacking.

The body is straight, more or less, but the paint was put on by somebody who was trying to save a buck or two. Surprisingly, there is no rust (although there was six inches of water in the trunk).

Projects in the near future: valve job, injectors, struts all around.

This little car is amazingly fun to drive (at least for a middle aged theologian like me). I love the sense of weight transfer accelerating through a turn.
After years of practical Hondas and Subarus it's nice to have fun behind the wheel again.

Ciao for now. I'll be around.

John
