My name is Mike, my friends call me wingnut cause I'm always tinkering with something. I've got an '87 (6/86 build) 735i with about 130,000 miles on it. Bought it through eBay, which was the scariest car purchase I have ever made! It's been a great car so far with just a few of the usual problems. Modifications include two-tone paint (the previous owner had the upper half of the car painted black, the lower half is delphin gray), dark tinted windows and the metric wheels were recently replaced by later model "basket weaves" (another ebay purchase). I recently replaced the driveshaft after all 3 bearings failed at the same time. Looks like a radiator or rear control arm bushings are next. This is my second BMW, I had an '81 735i with 5 speed (it was more fun than this automatic) that was modified as well, with rear spoiler from an Acura, 16" wheels, bigger exhaust, and cold air intake. It was dark blue. That's it about me.
I found United Bimmer while googling "bmw bushing removal".

Glad to be here!

Welcome to United Bimmer Community.

My car (which by the way I puchased off Ebay) has about the same mileage so controls arms and radiator are in order for me as well. That's really low mileage for an '87. Do you have any pics of your 7 series?

Not current, but you get the idea. It looks better with the new wheels.

That two-tone is very unique. That's what I wanted to see.
