New to the Board

Hello all!

I have a 97 540i I got last year about this time. I promised myself that this time I would leave the vehicle stock.....

So the mod bug has bitten again and I must become schooled in "all things 540".

I have also heard that there is a Mod named Dan around here who may know a thing or 2 about these cars...

Welcome to United Bimmer Community

I'm curious, why did you promise yourself you'd "leave it stock" this time?

Hey Kirk!

Two reasons really :

It took me a while to find a good BMW shop where I live and I didn't want to bust anything in the meantime...our local stealership is in another Province and 300kms away. I went there for the infamous inspection II when I got the car and left with a "special " feeling up my ass .

secondly I've spent a lot of time and money modding past and present toys
(current summer "Toy is a'91 MR2 turbo ) and I had to soften up the Wifey.

The 540 is pretty nice out of the box and since it's my DD ( old DD was an '89 Corolla SR5 ) and a BMW I was in awe for a while...

But I got over all of that; it's a car and cars were made to mod!!

Hids and tails on order from Habbie, let the games begin!
