New (old)BMW owner!

Hello everyone! I'm a new BMW owner, even though the car itself is sort of "old". 21 years old, college student, all that great stuff.

Sold my 2003 Dodge Neon SXT for a 1997 328SI. With about 1k left over to put into the car.
Neon had 65K on it, the Bimmer has 130K, haha.

People think I'm absolutely insane, but I am well prepared to take care of this car and any problems that come along. From what I hear, BMW's (along with other German and Swedish cars) will last until the universe collapses in on itself anyway. I can also speak from experience on that, seeing as my first car was a 1993 Saab 900S. So I doubt I'll have too many issues. I know a few people that are driving/have driven their BMW's well into 300K and beyond.

I'm sure I'll have plenty of fun posting and lurking here.

Welcome to UB!
yeah, the board is great
And Swedish cars ftw... they're even more durable than German cars
You can drive a Volvo for over 400k
but your car sounds awesome, as well....do you happen to have any pics?

Welcome, Nice trade getting out of the neon (i know they can be made into a good car and the srt4 is no slouch). As long as you take care of the Bimmer it will take care of you, they key is following the maintenance schedule. Welcome and hope to see more of you around.

Never posted a pic, so here it is. The only one I have at the moment anyway. As you can tell by the grass (I being in Upstate NY) it's not recent. It's from the fellow who sold it to me I'll get some more recent shots soon. Snow+White=Mmmm
