Your Ride: 1986 BMW 325 Limited Edition
Hi
Hi, my name is Phil and i'm new to this site. I just recently bought my first BMW, a 1986 325 "Limited Edition" (a nice improvement from the GMC truck I used to have). I wanted to ask if anybody knows what "limited edition" means. The owner's manual says nothing about it and there is no other documentation that I have that says what that means. I have tried to search the web to find out but I haven't been able to. Also, on the door and on the owners manual there are stickers that say "This BMW is involved in a special BMW Maintenance Observation Program." I am unsure what that means too, and if it has anything to do with the limited edition designation. Unfortunately I don't have pictures now, but I'll try to upload some soon. Any thoughts will be appreciated. thanks.

I have never heard of a Limited edition 325 of that vintage. Is it a 2 door or 4 door. If it is a 2 door perhaps it is a 325is? In anycase welcome to the site and enjoy the ride. If you post up a few pics it might help us to ID your Limited edition.

Hi welcome to the forums. From the sound of it it's "limited edition" simply because it was part of a special maintenance program. That program has probably ended a long time ago.
