Hal

hello everyone!
this is the first time i've been a member of a Forum and i have no idea what i'm doing. so please be patient and remember why i may not answer a query immediately.
i live in Edmonton, W. Canada, and yes it's starting to get chilly here. i've been driving and racing BMWs since 1969 (oops, dating myself here). just acquired the 19th of those wonderful things, and why , you ask: "Fuer Freude am Fahren".
can't really say i had a bad one, other then a '75 530i, which was a very strange conveyance. luckily it wasn't my first Bimmer, or i would be driving a Chevy (bite my tongue).
anyway thanks for the warm welcome. thanks to "Twisted" and "Scooter".
if anyone knows of some (4) alloy or steel rims (5x120) for '88 535i, my car needs Blizzaks.
in closing, let me say, this is most likely the classiest website for a forum, i've ever encountered.

hi, witeshark
thanks for the warm welcome.
quick question: when i get the reply screen, it says "title" at the top; what am i expected to enter there?

uhm...if you click the "post reply button", you get the "advanced reply". And in the title box you can type something, and it'll be underlined and at the top of your post, just like the :( smiley you posted up here. why not just type in the quick reply box? Also, you don\'t have to add a title at all...
hope this helped, and a warm welcome

hi, Amanda
and thanks for the welcome. have two questions:
1. is a 318is the same as a 318ti they sold up here in the great white north? because we never had a 318is up here, so i'm wondering....
B. why did you replace all those things in your baby? what vintage is it and were those things all worn out?
sorry , 2 1/2 questions
Hal
