Hey again! And thanks for the very warm reception, guys! SF is the ABSOLUTE pits when it comes to driving period. Overall road conditions here are truly something to be desired, given all the cracked roads, potholes, uneven asphalt, speed bumps, etc,
This, coupled with my sports package and Dinan-tuned suspension set up, makes the ride a bit unnerving, to say the least!! This is why I drive a rugged SUV in town, while reserving the BMW for strictly out-of-town jaunts.
Also, a big reason why my BMW sports only 9K original miles on the clock thus far, after 3 years of ownership. No, I'm done modding. And I'm thoroughly enjoying my wheels now, more than ever also. For me, my current setup is more car, handling, torque/power and braking than I could ever need or use.
But I do fantasize about taking her trackside one day. Just curious what the car can do at it's absolute threshold limits, especially with the electronic limiter now removed by Dinan. Steve Dinan, the owner and founder of Dinan Motorsport, recently took a fully Dinan tuned modded E60 (non M5 version) past 180+ down the backroads in the Morgan Hill area.
Also claimed the modded E60 to be truly "sublime" in all performance respects. Well, that's probably good enough for me, er, until that is, I finally take her trackside and unleash the drive of my life!! Ha ha.
I got a ride in a full dinan e46 m3 and my god the suspension is pure sexyness .
