Happy to be here.

what's up all? i recently bought a 1985 325e in los angeles and drove it home to bellingham, wa. i love it but it needs a little help. acceleration lags in segments...feels like timing, plugs and/or wires, or possibly fuel filter? hoping it is not fuel injection...still gets up to speed fairly quickly, but i know it has more. any suggestions?

Since you just purchased it I would recomend doing all the service to it, change the oil, plugs, fluids, filters and timing belt and then establish a regular maintence schedule, if you take care of these things they should run for a long time.

Welcome and I agree. Anytime I get a used car I perform all the basic services on it no matter if the dealer says they just did it.
