Hi to u all

Not much time yet to c all that is going on here but like what I c so far.
Have my first BMer (1999 530d SE Auto) and impressed! Should be able to look after it mostly myself; and u never know I may be able to help others (I've been around a while and have an elec/mech engineering background but not specialising in cars particularly).
Presently stuck with a problem on the brakes which u may be able to help with.
When applying the brakes "very lightly" the brake pedal tends to move down a little further on its own and then does want to release (brakes then stay on)? Braking harder to come to a standstill leaves everything ok and I can move off normally with no brake drag. I assume that the problem is connected with the servo but I have not done much in the past with these.
I have checked the clearance on the pedal/brake light switch is ok!
Any ideas?
Roger
