Ebay may have a manual, I saw one for $75 but I'm not a fan of ebay. If the light has darkened from corrosion or dirt, the whole light may need replacing. I'm not sure if it can be just cleaned out.
the glass might actually be dirty from the inside. We had that on my Touring and we just unmounted the lights, then took off the glass and wiped it clean...
if it's a problem with the lense or the reflector, get a replacement from a junkyard... they only sell the complete sets though...
where R U from? And by the way, welcome to United Bimmer!

I am living in small village in the Mons, Belgium area. I think that the low beam lens are a plastic and have discolored with age. There is a salvage yard at the army base in Baumholder that I am going to check out. The car does not have any fog lights either and I am going to try to add them. It is going to be interesting working on this car. I have already gained a lot of respect for the German engineering that went into the BMWs.
